New Hampshire Notes...
* Buckshot Jones won his last Busch Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway on May 9, 1998. It's been 51 races since that last trip to victory lane and Jones is hoping to become the first Busch Series driver to win two races at NHIS this weekend.
* Buckshot Jones will again drive a Chevrolet Monte Carlo at New Hampshire. The Busch 200 will mark the third consecutive race for Jones in a Chevrolet. The team will be bringing the car that was raced in Richmond last weekend. Jones had moved his way up to 2nd place with 25 laps remaining before a transmission problem relegated Jones to a 26th place finish last week.
* No other driver has won a race at NHIS from as far back as 26th like Buckshot Jones did back in May '98.
Buckshot Jones Said...
* "I'm looking forward to getting back to New Hampshire because we've won there and you go in there with confidence, particularly about the setup. Even though the superspeedways are probably my favorite, New Hampshire is one of those tracks like Milwaukee and Dover where we run well, not for any special reason, but we do."
* "Not qualifying well always worries me especially on the shorter tracks, but we never qualify good at New Hampshire and we always race well. Maybe bringing the Monte Carlo instead of the Pontiac will help us under the stopwatch."
