General admission tickets available through Sept. 23

INDIANAPOLIS- Reserved seats for the inaugural United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis are sold out, Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials announced today.

Speedway officials also announced that the FIA, the official governing body for the Formula One World Championship, has moved the starting time of the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis to 1 p.m. (EST) Sept. 24. The race originally was scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

The Speedway sold reserved seating in all grandstand seats inside and outside the oval, except for grandstands located along the ovals Turn 3.

General admission tickets remain available for all three days of the event, Sept. 22 (practice), Sept. 23 (qualifications) and Sept. 24 (Race Day). Race-day general admission tickets must be purchased on or before Sept. 23.

The Speedway family is ecstatic that motorsport enthusiasts around the world, and in the U.S. in particular, have embraced the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis, said Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Tony George. We are confident that Formula One has found a permanent American home at our facility, and we look forward to rolling out the red carpet for all of our guests this September.

Reserved seating for the Speedways two other events, the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race, sell out annually. General admission tickets are also available for the 84th Indianapolis 500, which starts at 11 a.m. (EST) May 28. Spectators can purchase general admission tickets for that event at the gate on Race Day, or in advance through the Speedway ticket office. The Speedway does not sell general admission tickets for the Brickyard 400.

Friday and Saturday general admission tickets for the USGP provide access to the Speedways grandstands and viewing mounds located on the infield portion of the road course. Sunday general admission ticket holders have access to the viewing mounds. Reserved seat tickets are required for the grandstands. Seating on the mounds is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Single-day, two-day combination (Friday and Saturday) and three-day combination tickets are available.

Single-day tickets are $10 for Sept. 22, $20 for Sept. 23 and $30 for Sept. 24. Two-day combination tickets are $25, and a three-day combination ticket for Sept. 22-24 is $50.

Contact the Speedway ticket office at (3

17) 484-6700, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (EST) Monday through Friday, to request a general admission ticket application. Tickets can be purchased at the Speedway ticket office starting Aug. 1.
