MIAMI, Fla.--The Panoz/Sanchez Group and SCCA Pro Racing have announced the addition of Bill Skibbe and Carla Heath as co-Chiefs of Timing and Scoring for the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series.

Both Skibbe and Heath currently work for CART timing and scoring in addition to other T&S responsibilities. Skibbe is the Chief of Timing and Scoring for the American Le Mans Series, the CART Toyota Atlantic Championship, the SCCA Club Racing Valvoline Runoffs and he is the SCCA Club Racing National Administrator of Timing and Scoring. Skibbe is also a member of development team creating CART s new timing and scoring software.

Heath is also a member of CARTs new T&S software development team, and has served as a CART FedEx Championship Series T&S official since 1995. From 1991 to 1994, Heath was the Trans-Am Series Chief of Timing and Scoring.

"We are always looking for opportunities to create the finest roster of race officials in motorsports, and the addition of Bill and Carla is certainly a great enhancement to the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series," said John Clagett, BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series Executive Director. "Both Bill and Carlas plates are pretty full in terms of their existing responsibilities with CART and the ALMS, and the Panoz/Sanchez Group and SCCA Pro Racing are extremely pleased that they accepted the additional responsibilities of the Trans-Am Series."

Skibbe and Heath will be assisted by Paul Kramer and Diane Kramer, who will serve as AMB Timing System coordinators, provide technical assistance and oversee BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series T&S field staff assignments.
