ASA: Louisville Motor Speedway to Host ASA ACDelco Series Event

ACDelco Service Specialist 300 Moves to 8 p.m.

PENDLETON Ind. - Officials from the American Speed Association and Louisville Motor Speedway have announced that the June 10 American Speed Association ACDelco Series event has been moved back one hour, now scheduled to take the green at 8 p. m. Eastern. The ACDelco Service Specialist 300 will mark the 14th time ASA has visited the track, but the first since 1994.

In addition to the new race time on Saturday, the usual qualifying format is changing to accommodate Louisvilles local program. The Friday, June 9 line up will include Louisville Motor Speedways Late Model and Figure-8 divisions along with ASA qualificat ions and 100-lap qualifying race.

Prices for Fridays activities are $14 for adults, $12 for teens (13-19), $12 for seniors (62 and older) and $3 for children. Chairback reserved seats will cost $3 more than the above listed general admission prices. There will be no free admission to qual ifying day activities with race day ticket.

The 13 previous trips to Louisville Motor Speedway have produced 11 different winners, including Mike Eddy, the late Joe Shear, Jerry Makara and Ed Howe. Eddy, the seven-time ASA National Champion, won when the series last visited Louisville Speedway in 19 94.

The ASA ACDelco Series will invade Louisville on Friday, June 9, with practice beginning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. ASA qualifications take place at 2:30 p.m. and the 100-lap qualifier race will take the green at 7:30 p.m. The Louisville Late Model and Figure-8 events are set to begin at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, June 10, the exclusive ASA on-track autograph session to scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with pre-race ceremonies starting at 6:15 p.m. After the time change, the ACDelco Service Specialist 300 will go green at 8 p.m.

Race day tickets are $25 in the reserved sections and $20 in the general admission areas. Children 12 years of age or younger will be admitted free with a paying adult in the general admission seating section.
