ASA ACDelco Series Publication in Seventh Year of Publication
PENDLETON Ind. - Officials with the American Speed Association announced that the May 7 American Speed Association ACDelco Series event at Montgomery Motor Speedway will be renamed the ACTIONLINE 300. The event marks the series inaugural visit to the famed half-mile oval. The ACTIONLINE 300 will be televised live at 1:30 pm Eastern on TNN Sports.
"This is a great opportunity for ACTIONLINE and were very pleased to serve as title of this event," commented ACTIONLINE Editor R. Ross Wellman. "Weve been a part of the ASA community for seven years and this is a chance for us to have a great deal of visibility. Were looking forward to a great race weekend."
In its seventh year, ACTIONLINE, ASAs official publication, is a tabloid-style newspaper, published 20-times a year, providing ASA fans and team members all the latest news, results and feature stories surrounding the ACDelco Series, its drivers, teams, tracks and sponsors. Readers get 24 pages of photos, insight and interviews with all the people surrounding the series for $24.95 per year ($44.95 U.S funds in Canada).
"With the growth the series has seen this year, we thought this to be the perfect opportunity to expand the papers marketing abilities," added Wellman. "We hope to draw in a whole new audience to the ACTIONLINE family and this will give us the right vehicle to do so."
As part of the promotion, fans will be able to log on the world wide web to the official ASA website (www.asaracing.com), and subscribe to ACTIONLINE. The specialized page will contain general information about the paper, along with the current headlines and stories, giving fans a chance to view all the action in ACTIONLINE.
The ASA ACDelco Series will debut at Montgomery on Saturday, May 6 with practice beginning at 11:30 a.m. Eastern. ASA qualifications take place at 6 p.m. and the 100-lap qualifier race will take the green at 10 p.m. On Sunday, May 7, the exclusive ASA on-track autograph session begins at 11:30 a.m. with pre-race ceremonies starting at 12:45 p.m. The ACTIONLINE 300 will go green at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 in the reserved sections and $20 in the general admission areas. Children 12 years of age or younger will be admitted free with a paying adult in the general admission seating section. With the purchase of a race day ticket, fans will be admitted to the qualifying day activities on April 21 without additional charge. Tickets for the ACTIONLINE 300 can be ordered by calling the ASA Ticket Line (765) 778-2105 or toll-free 1-888-ASA-1020. VISA, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.
