The yellow and black colors of JEG'S Mail Order have been in every Pro Stock final round during the 2000 NHRA Winston Drag Racing season. The team has posted four wins and a runner-up finish. Jeg Coughlin has started the season with a bang. He has won four of the five races and has grabbed an early 133 point lead. In fact, the last driver to open with four wins in the first five races was Bob Glidden in 1989. Troy Coughlin has qualified at all five races and has a runner-up finish. He is currently No. 6 in the points.

"We have been fortunate to avoid beating ourselves," Jeg said about the teams success. "We have spent a lot of time as a team preparing for each race."

Last year Virginia was part of a three race string of DNQ's for Jeg, which ultimately helped to take him out of contention for the Championship. Jeg finished number two last year and battled for the spot with Kurt Johnson for the second straight year.

"We learned a lot the last two years as a team," said Jeg. "This is our teams third season and the mistakes that we made the last two seasons are now paying dividends. We have learned from our mistakes and that is a major part of our teams success."

Troy Coughlin has shown that consistent qualifying is paying dividends. When the 2000 NHRA season started Troy was sitting in the No. 11 position in the Holley Dominator Duel points. Troy jumped back into the top eight and sits in the No. 8 spot with 1915 points. The 2000 Holley Pro Stock Dominator Dual is a race among the top eight drivers in qualifying points from Englishtown '99 to Atlanta '00.

"Qualifying for every race and getting back into the Holley Dominator Duel race are two of my goals for this season," Troy stated. "Consistent performance and qualifying will help me to accomplish the rest of my personal goals for this season."

If recent history is any indication of what is to come in the future, keep your eyes on this Championship contending team.
