Begins Title Sponsorship at Las Vegas
Indianapolis, IN: Mall.com, known as the premier internet mall developer, today announced their increased involvement with Treadway Racing as they move into the title sponsorship of the #5 entry of Robby McGehee for four of this season's racing venues, beginning with this weekend's Las Vegas 300.
The Austin-based company began their relationship with Treadway Racing last year as a major associate for the season opener at the Walt Disney World Speedway. Pleased with their results, they promptly signed a multi-year deal with the Texas Motor Speedway to sponsor the season finale for the Indy Racing League. A successful event, the Mall.com 500 expanded Mall.com's motorsports interest as it drew a correlation between the Internet and autoracing, as both are making advances in speed and technology. It was the perfect niche for a "dot.com" company to target their demographic and successfully market their site.
Mall.com will title sponsor the #5 car for the following venues this season: The Las Vegas Indy 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on April 22, the Casino Magic 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 10, the Radisson Indy 200 at Pike's Peak International Raceway on June 18, and their signature event-the Mall.com 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on October 15.
Treadway Racing vice president of business Scott Cronk is pleased with the association. "The Indy Racing Northern Light Series provides excellent demographic fit for Mall.com," he stated.
