Indianapolis, IN: Miller Brewing Company is certainly no stranger to the racing industry. They have been associated with many of the great teams in all forms of motorsport. Treadway Racing is pleased to be counted as one of them and today announced Miller's continued support for this year's Indianapolis 500.
Miller's relationship with the Indianapolis-based team began in 1997 when Miller Lite first appeared on the car and uniform during the Indianapolis 500. An obvious good luck charm for the team, the logo crossed the yard of bricks in first position with Arie Luyendyk at the helm to earn his second Indianapolis 500 victory. Treadway Racing is thrilled to have the company return for their fourth Indianapolis 500 together, and hopes to put them in the winner's circle again.
"We are proud to continue our relationship with Miller and be an integral part of their merchandising and promotional programs during the month of May," stated Vice President of Treadway Racing, Scott Cronk. "They are a long time supporter of our efforts at the Indianapolis 500 and I hope to bring them another victory."
Miller Brewing Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Philip Morris Companies Inc. Principal beer brands include Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller High Life, Meister Brau and Milwaukee's Best. Primary products from Plank Road Brewery, a small division of Miller, include ICEHOUSE and Red Dog. Newly acquired brands include Henry Weinhard's, Hamm's, Olde English 800 and Mickey's Malt Liquor. Miller also brews Sharp's, a non-alcohol beer.
