In an effort to continue fine-tuning the Speedvision World Challenge Championships into the closest racing among different manufacturers, three cars will run smaller restrictors beginning with the May 19-21 Mosport weekend.

The Acura Integra R and BMW 328 (both Touring Cars) and Dodge Viper GTS (GT) have had their restrictors reduced by 2mm.

"In Touring, we spent the better part of 1999 trying to equalize the Acuras and BMWs," said Mitch Wright, Speedvision World Challenge General Manager. "Theyre very close together now, but its time to bring the remainder of the cars up to that level. After re-evaluating the performance potential of the Vipers, the decision was made to return to the 50mm restrictorsthe same as last year."
