The JEG'S team is ready to turn their hard work into a rewarding weekend at the O'Reilly Nationals. John Coughlin is holding down the No. 6 position in the NHRA Winston Drag Racing points and is coming off of a second round defeat. Mike Coughlin is ready to rebound from a DNQ and get back to the performance level that he has become accustom to.

John and his yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order S-10 are trailing Rick Jones a point. Steve Johns is a mere 2 points ahead of Coughlin. A strong performance could boast John Coughlin as high as the No. 3 spot by the end of the race.

"The guys on the team have been working so hard to get us back on top." John added, "We have spent time rethinking our game plan as a group and will attack this race from a different angle."

Mike Coughlin had a career best finish last season and walked away with the No. 4 in the NHRA Winston Championship. The 2000 NHRA season has not been as kind. The Pro Stock Truck class has had three races so far this year of their fourteen race season. The first race of the year put Mike and his brother John head-to-head, John advanced in a close race. Since then Mike has been plagued with two straight DNQ's.

Mike Coughlin enters the O'Reilly Nationals with 51 points. He is 65 points away from breaking back into the top ten. Mike and his JEG'S machine could jump as high as the No. 9 spot.

"I can see the light at the end of the tunnel." Mike continued, "We have had some bad luck in the last two races. I look at this race as a new beginning and we are ready to continue our winning ways this weekend."
