ASA ACDelco Series to Make Initial Visit to Famed Oval
PENDLETON Ind.- Officials from the American Speed Association have announced that Jani-King will become the title sponsor for the April 22 ASA ACDelco Series event at Hickory Motor Speedway. It will be the inaugural visit to the famed Nor th Carolina track. The Jani-King 300 will be televised live at 1:00 pm Eastern on TNN Sports.
Jani-King, the worlds largest commercial cleaning franchising company, elected to move from presenting sponsor into the title sponsorship role when the opportunity presented itself. The title sponsorship announcement comes after serving as the presenting sponsor for the April 8 Discount Auto Parts 300 at Lanier National Speedway in Gainesville, GA.
"When the opportunity presented itself to move from a presenters role into the entitlement spot for the Hickory race, we jumped right at it," commented President of Jani-King Jerry Crawford. "We are looking forward to a great race at a very historic race t rack!"
Based out of Dallas, Tex., Jani-King will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the June 23-24 event at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, MO; The July 29-30 race at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, OH; and the September 9-10 event at Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphi s, TN.
The event sponsorship roles support Jani-Kings ASA team sponsorship of the #18 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by veteran Mike Miller, a five-time ASA race winner in 1999.
The commercial cleaning giant is a multi-national corporation, with over 7,400 franchises in the United States and regional offices in most major American cities.
The ASA ACDelco Series will debut at Hickory on Friday, April 21 with practice beginning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. ASA qualifications take place at 4 p.m. and the 100-lap qualifier race will take green at 8 p.m. On Saturday, April 22, the exclusive ASA on-trac k autograph session begins at 11 a.m. with pre-race ceremonies starting at 12:15 p.m. The Jani-King 300 will go green at 1 p.m.
Tickets are $25 in the reserved sections and $20 in the general admission areas. Children 12 years of age or younger will be admitted free with a paying adult in the general admission seating section. With the purchase of a race day ticket, fans will be ad mitted to the qualifying day activities on April 21 without additional charge.
