RICKY RUDD --28-- Texaco Havoline Taurus (Finished 22nd) -- YOU HAD A STRONG CAR UNTIL THAT TANGLE IN TURN FOUR. "Yeah, they sort of bunched up. I'm not sure, somebody hit me from behind and turned me around. That pretty much ended our day."

YOU HAD TO BE ENCOURAGED WITH THE WAY YOU RAN THOUGH? "Yeah, we had a fast car. We were just sort of sitting there playing with Earnhardt. I think we were as good as he was at that stage of the race and I said, 'Hey, we've got a long way to go, let's just sit here and ride a little bit and wait for the end of the race.' The next thing you know somebody hits me in the back and turns me around."
