(Concord, N.C.) - Cicci-Welliver Racing announced today they have named Billy Nacewicz crew chief for driver Tim Fedewa and the No. 36 Stanley Racing team.

Nacewicz, 50, will make his debut with the team at the Touchstone Energy 300 at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend.

"I've tried to get Billy over to Cicci-Welliver for several years," said team manager Clyde McLeod. "Billy has very strong organizational skills. He's built cars and shocks for years, and he is very knowledgeable about the chassis. He will be a great asset to the Stanley team and all of Cicci-Welliver racing."

Nacewicz, a New York native, has had an extensive and successful 26-year career in racing. He served as crew chief for Richie Evans, the well-known modified driver, during his run of eight national championships before moving south to work in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Nacewicz was also the car chief for Randy LaJoie's No. 74 team at Bace Motorsports that won the 1996 and 1997 Busch Grand National points championships.

"I'm looking forward to being a part of Cicci-Welliver racing and the Stanley team," Nacewicz said. "I know several of the crew members, and I have worked with Tim before at Bace.

"The Stanley team has a lot of potential, but they are having a bit of bad luck. Hopefully we can get that turned around soon for the Stanley team."
