NAZARETH, Pa.--An uncommon Spring snowstorm which caused
CART officials to
postpone the Bosch Spark Plug Grand Prix, turned out to be a lucky break
for
the Arciero Project Racing Group (P.R.G.), and driver Luiz Garcia Jr.
The race is rescheduled for Saturday, May 27, 2000.
The team had experienced severe handling problems with the 1999 Reynard chassis. When Arciero P.R.G. returns to Nazareth in May, it will be with the competitive 2000 Reynard. The team plans to conduct a day-long test prior to the Long Beach Grand Prix, on Wednesday, April 12, at Buttonwillow Raceway, in California.
"Its good for us that it snowed today. We consider this a good break and we will be ready for the Nazareth race in May. I want to come back here and put on a good show." Luiz Garcia Jr., Driver
"This snow turned out to be lucky for us. This gives the Arciero Project Racing Group an opportunity to run our 2000 package when we come back to Nazareth in May. We should be competitive and we cant wait to race." Andreas Leberle, General Manager
