WEST LEBANON, NY -- One of the most anticipated races each year at Lebanon Valley Speedway is the annual Poland Spring Water Race of Kings. The 100-lap race for 358 Modifieds is presented as part of the big CARQUEST Kings 200 Weekend September 9 & 10. The Race of Kings is always one of the most competitive events held on the 1/2 mile West Lebanon speed plant. The excitement of this great race will now be carried over to several events during the 2000 season.

Lebanon Valley Speedway is pleased to announce their 2000 race schedule will include a total of seven 358 Modified races capped off with the running of the Poland Spring Water Race of Kings on September 9th. The 358 Modified series will kick off on Saturday May 27 as part of the big Memorial Day celebration sponsored by Wacker Corporation and Admar Supply.

Other dates on the schedule for the 358's are Saturday June 10, Pro-Circuit Autosports & Restoration and Wohrles night, Saturday July 15, Vermeer night, Thursday August 10, as part of the BUDWEISER Mr. Dirt Track USA program, Saturday August 26, Berkshire Bank night and Saturday September 2, Gable Auto Stores and GMAC Financial Services night.

Many of the Lebanon Valley Modified drivers have access to 358 motors and cars and are expected to enter the 358 events. Kenny Tremont, Rich and Mike Ricci and Guy Sheldon are all expected to field 358 cars. Sportsman drivers will be allowed to compete in the 358 races provided they field a 358 legal car in addition to their Sportsman car. The speedway has also received calls from drivers that currently compete at other tracks expressing interest in running the 358 Modified races at Lebanon Valley.

The complete race itinerary will be announced sometime right after opening night on April 15th. At this time the tentative plans are to run 2 heats and a 24-lap main paying $1,000 to win. Car count will determine the exact way the race night will be run.
