FAST FACT
Randy LaJoie has completed 99.8 percent of all possible laps in the NASCAR Busch Series events at Texas Motor Speedway.
LaJoie Looks Ahead to the Albertson's 300 Presented by Pop Secret:
"I've always run well at Texas, but I've never had the finishes to show it.
"Texas isn't like any track we run. It's very unique with its own personality. If it's similar to any track we run on, it would have to be Atlanta because it's one of those race tracks where we're on the verge of going too fast. You've got to run wide open all the way around the track and I don't think we put on a good show when we're so close to the edge.
You've got to run it like Atlanta. If you aren't on the mat, especially for qualifying, you might be going to the house.
"After a few years of tricky conditions, I think the track is finally in the condition it needs to be to where we can race on it. The water isn't coming up through the track. It's a pretty nice facility and it's a shame they've had to redo the track twice. But, every time they've redone it they've made it better."
