FAST FACT
Before becoming a NASCAR Busch Series regular, Randy LaJoie, a two-time Busch Series champion, was the spotter for Todd Bodine's first win at the 0.533-mile oval in 1992.
LaJoie Looks Ahead to the Cheez-It 250:
"Bristol is one of those tracks that can bite you in a hurry.. Things happen fast there. You've got to race the guys around you -- and believe me, someone's always around you -- but at the same time you have to be looking ahead down the straights. The challenge for the driver is to be aware of what is going on around you, and try to anticipate what somebody else may do.
"Your spotter is definitely your best friend at Bristol. He's another set of eyes at a place where two (eyes) are definitely not enough.
"I've always wanted to win at Bristol, and that's definitely something I plan on doing before I retire, so it might as well be now." Randy LaJoie's Bristol Motor Speedway Statistical Information:
