Home Track Advantage:

"I have to say this is the most important race for Team 34 for the first half of the season, even more so than Daytona," said Green. "Its AFG Glass home town, so we want to perform especially well for them. Bristol is a favorite of mine because the fans really love it and its more of a drivers track. This is a track where the driver, more so than the car, is the difference between qualifying and finishing well. Other tracks, like Daytona and Talladega, really depend on a good setup more than anything. Turn four is the most critical part of the track. It is very narrow and you have to negotiate a whole series of bumps while carrying a ton of speed. Bristol is really unique, and since the track is so short, there isnt really much room to make mistakes."

Shes got a new man:

AFG Glass Team 34 will run chassis B5 with a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo body. B5 placed ninth last year at Dover Downs in the fall with driver Mike McLaughlin.

Did You Know?:

* David Green won at Bristol during his 1994 NASCAR Busch Series Championship season.

* In the Bristol races where Green remained free and clear of mechanical problems, his average finish was eighth.
