NASCAR BGN: Jeff Green set for Bristol return

Showing Favoritism?: Jeff Green, driver of the No. 10 Nestle NesQuik Chevrolet, likes Bristol Motor Speedway more than any other track he goes to on the NASCAR Busch Series circuit.

"Racing at Bristol is like flying a fighter jet in a gymnasium," said Green. "The track is only a half-mile and you go around it in 15 seconds. It is so small and so fast. During the race, you feel like you are making 250 qualifying laps while dodging bullets. Some drivers think Bristol is frustrating because things happen so fast and if anything goes wrong in front of you, youll probably be part of it. Its mentally draining too, because youre thinking a lot. You dont have anytime to relax because youre always turning the steering wheel. I love Bristol because of its high banking and you get to use a lot of gas pedal. Its just plain fun in my book."

Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking the same car to Bristol that they brought to Rockingham and Darlington earlier this year. It finished second at Rockingham and fourth at Darlington.

"I say, If it aint broke, dont fix it," said crew chief Harold Holly. "This car has been doing well for us so far, so were going to use it until it just wont run anymore!"

Jeff Green Appearances: Green will be signing autographs from 5 p.m. 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 23rd at the Food City Family Race Night held at the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn. The following evening, Green will attend the Race for Life 2000 at the Dobyn-Bennett High School in Kingsport, Tenn. Green will sign autographs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
