INDIANAPOLIS- Jimmy Kite was entered March 17 into the 84th Indianapolis 500 by Blueprint Racing Enterprises, LLC.

Kite, from Stockbridge, Ga., will drive the #27 Founders Bank Group-ZMax-Blueprint Racing Special G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone. Practice starts May 13 for the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," with Pole Day May 20 and Race Day May 28.

Blueprint Racing Enterprises also entered a G Force/Oldsmobile/Firestone backup machine for Kite, who will attempt to make his third consecutive Indianapolis start. Randy Ruyle is chief mechanic, and Brad McCanless is team manager. Kite is Blueprints full-time driver in the Indy Racing Northern Light Series.

Kite, 24, finished 11th in his first start at Indy in 1998, running at the finish. He was 24th last year, out after 110 laps with engine problems.
