Lucky Fan Wins RIDGID NASCAR Giveaway and Receives Phone Call from Favorite Driver

DARLINGTON, SC - Little did Toby Benson know when he doubled-clicked on the RIDGID link at TonyStewart.Com, not only would he have the opportunity to win a full RIDGID woodworking workshop, but he would be notified of his selection by his favorite NASCAR Winston Cup driver Tony Stewart. Stewart will contact Benson from the Darlington Raceway on Saturday.

"It is a privilege for me to call a fan club member with good news," Stewart said. "RIDGID has been an avid supporter of my fan club since the beginning of their association with the Winston Cup team. What a great deal for Toby!

"It is always a good time when I get a chance to make a call to a fan. Sometimes it takes awhile, but eventually they realize that it's not one of their buddies playing a prank. It's the real deal and a lot of fun."

Benson, a fellow Hoosier from New Castle, Indiana, was one of several thousand fan club supporters who visited TonyStewart.Com during the final quarter of 1999 and entered to win the "RIDGID NASCAR Giveaway." Stewart's fan club currently consists of more than 6,500 boosters, each who had the opportunity to answer questions about Ridgid tools in order to enter the contest. The winner was selected by a random drawing.

The RIDGID NASCAR Giveaway prize package contains: a 10" stationary table saw, 16" scroll saw, 14" band saw, 6 1/8" jointer, oscillating spindle/belt sander, dust collection network and a 16 gallon wet/dry vacuum. The estimated retail value of the package is approximately $2,000.

Emerson Tool Company, a division of Emerson Electric, manufacturers RIDGID woodworking power tools, wet/dry vacs and dust collection products.

Headquartered in St. Louis, RIDGID is a proprietary brand of The Home Depot and is prominently featured on Stewart's #20 Pontiac.
