* Tim Fedewa showed his first flash of greatness in the Busch series
when he put his race car on the pole at Darlington Raceway in 1995. It was
Fedewa's first ever pole. In 2000, Fedewa looks forward to returning to
the
track where he got his first big break in the series and hopefully
capturing
another pole."We have a good team working on the Stanley car this year. We just need to get some consistency and win some races," Fedewa said. "I don't feel like I've been very lucky the past year and a half, and I need some good luck on my side. I'm hoping that my luck is going to change as we head to Darlington. Darlington Raceway has been good to me in the past, and I hope it can help the Stanley team get on a winning streak in 2000."
* The Stanley team will be taking the same car they ran at North Carolina Speedway earlier this year.
"Darlington is definitely a racer's race track," said crew chief Richard Lasater. "I loved running at Darlington when I drove because the focus is really placed on the driver. You just can't set up the car to be good at both ends. Timmy has proven himself here in the past, and I'm confident he can have a winning weekend there."
* Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal & Constitution took home the electric staple and nail gun in the "Who Wants To Be A Tool Winner?" Stanley tools sweepstakes 2000. Pick where Tim Fedewa and the No. 36 Stanley team will finish this weekend in Darlington and win a Max Grip adjustable wrench.
