SCCA: Realtime Racing announces 2000 Speedvision World Challenge plans

SAUKVILLE, Wis. --RealTime Racing will return to the Speedvision Touring Car Championship for 2000, in an attempt to secure their sixth World Challenge title. After campaigning two Integras in 1997, three in 98 and four in 99, there will now be five Acura Integra Type Rs in RealTime colors. The familiar orange & white paint scheme will now be accented by the colors of their new corporate partner:

The 1999 four-man roster remains intact, with the addition of one new driver. The 2000 RealTime Racing driver line-up is as follows:
#42 Pierre Kleinubing/Erexim, Brazil- Returns for his fourth season with RealTime. 1997 Speedvision Touring Car Champion and Rookie-of-the-Year, Runner-up in 98 and 1999.
#43 Hugh Plumb/Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania- Returns to the championship for his third season and second with RealTime. 1998 Speedvision Touring Car Rookie-of-the-Year, Third in 1999 Speedvision Championship points.
#44 Kevin Schrantz/Boulder, Colorado- Returns for his sophomore year with the team and series. 1999 Touring Car Rookie-of-the-Year, Sixth in the points.
#45 Fred Meyer/Dallas, Texas- Returns to RealTime for his fifth season. Recently retired as CEO of a large manufacturing firm, the seventy-two year young driver has impressed his fellow competitors with his determination. Fifteenth in all-time starts.
#46 Bob Nagel/Clearwater, Florida- Joins RealTime in 2000 to fight for Rookie-of-the-Year honors. Previously a Skip Barber Formula Dodge open-wheel Race Series front-runner.
During the past seven seasons, RealTime has collected 26 wins and 91 top-five finishes on their way to five Drivers Championships. In addition, the RealTime squad has been the significant contributor to the seven Manufacturers Titles that Honda and Acura have garnered over the same period.
"The year 2000 is shaping up to be the strongest year ever for this team," enthused team principal Peter Cunningham. "Between this group of driving talent, the Integra Type R, and the entire RealTime crew, we hope to be in good position to win another championship.
