Jeff Green, driver of the No. 10 Nestl NesQuik Chevrolet, was content with his sixth-place finish in the Sams Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"I cant say that I am pleased with a sixth-place finish because I want to win races," said Green. "But I am happy with where we are in the points standings. Were up to fifth now and Matt Kenseth wont be running the whole season, so really we are fourth, 52 points behind Randy Lajoie. Fifth place is a heck of a lot better than 42nd where we were when we left Daytona. The championship is our main focus this year, but it wont mean as much if we arent winning races as well."

Testing: Green and the NesQuik Racing team tested at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the off-season in January. Green was quickest during the open test at the 1.54 mile track.

Team Disagreements: The NesQuik Racing team sampled Strawberry Quik, Banana Quik and Fat Free Chocolate Quik for the first time at Las Vegas last week. Although the team agrees on how to make the NesQuik Chevy go fast, they could not agree on their favorite flavor. Most team members preferred the original Chocolate flavor, but many liked the other flavors as well, especially Banana. One team member enjoyed the Strawberry flavor and Banana flavor so much that he decided to mix them together for his own creation, Strawberry-Banana Quik.

Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking the same chassis (with the new 2000 Chevrolet body style) that Green raced at the fall Charlotte race in 1999.

"The car we are bringing to Atlanta is the same car that I raced at the fall Charlotte race," said Green. "We shouldve finished fourth in that event, but the motor started missing. The car is very strong and I feel that the NesQuik Racing should have a strong run at Atlanta. I have a lot of confidence in my team and their ability to give me competitive cars right out of the box. I just hope NASCAR takes a look at the Chevrolet package. The front end needs a little bit of help with downforce in order to beat the Fords right now."
