TIM FEDEWANASCAR BUSCH SERIES
LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
* Tim Fedewa calls the Las Vegas Motor Speedway "his type of track." The driver who got his start at Michigan dirt tracks loves the flat track design in Vegas. He qualified ninth there in 1999 and is hoping the team will improve on that this year.
"We ran well there last year, but we ran into some carburetor problems," Fedewa said. "Vegas is really my type of track. I'm optimistic about the race, and I'm really looking forward to it."
* The No. 36 Stanley team tested their car in Las Vegas in early February. Crew chief Richard Lasater said the team posted times in the top five.
"Timmy and the car ran great in Vegas. We walked away from that track confident of what we could accomplish there," Lasater said. "We're definitely excited about getting back there."
* Las Vegas is one of Fedewa's favorite tracks for another reason - the culinary delights featured along the strip. Fedewa suggests any buffet at the hotel and casinos and "In & Out Burger" if you're looking for a quick bite after a day at the track.
* Last week was the kick-off of the "Who Wants To Be A Tool Winner?" Stanley tools sweepstakes 2000. The winner of the saw and mitre box in Rockingham was Matt Yocum of RPM 2Night.
Pick where Tim Fedewa and the No. 36 Stanley team will finish this week and win a multi-bit screwdriver.
