"It's like going into a casino. You hear the bells ring and see the lights flash when someone wins, but when you pull the handle on the slot machine, nothing comes out. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is very similar -- it's a very smooth race track, and it's fast, but it's unforgiving. If you make a mistake, it will be a big one.

"Las Vegas is an 'attraction' place. People love to go there and gamble, shop, and just have a good time. Not everybody is good at gambling, but everyone can enjoy all of the entertainment, from boxing to concerts and now Winston Cup racing. I'm sure the race is going to continue to be a big part of the attraction of Las Vegas for a long time to come."
