Ken Schrader Said...

"I'm really proud of the "M&M's" Racing Team. The "M&M's" Team went to Daytona with a new driver and a new crew chief and we all had a successful speedweeks. We put in a solid performance all week, from the Shootout to the Daytona 500. We were happy to leave Daytona with a top-10 finish. The past few weeks is proof of how hard this team has worked over the winter.

"Rockingham is a 180 degree difference from Daytona, but it is a fun little race track that I always enjoy. It has got two solid grooves, so you can run either high or low depending on how your car is set up. I ran pretty decent there last spring and finished 11th, but I want to improve on that this weekend. The "M&M's" Team already has a solid short track program and Sammy and I plan to add to that."

Ken Schrader's Stats...

* In their first competitive start together, the "M&M's" Racing Team and Ken Schrader showed their superspeedway prowess by turning in two top-10 finishes at Daytona International Speedway. Schrader finished sixth in the Bud Shootout and followed that up with a ninth-place effort in the Daytona 500. Schrader, making his first qualifying effort in the "M&M's" Pontiac, also held the 11th quickest time overall in Daytona 500 qualifying.

* Of Schrader's 23 career pole positions, he has one start from the point at North Carolina Speedway (1990). But Schrader's qualifying efforts at North Carolina Speedway aren't limited to winning the pole position. In his 15 starts at the 1.017-mile track in the spring, he has qualified in the top 15 on 12 occasions.

* "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ken Schrader has an affinity for driving on tracks one mile in length. At the series' one-mile facilities (Rockingham, Dover, New Hampshire, Phoenix) Schrader has 31 top-10 finishes in 82 starts. He also has five pole positions.
