Chevrolet, took a wild ride last week in the NAPA Auto Parts 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
"No driver ever likes to be in an accident on the track," said Green. "But if I have to ever have to wreck again, Id choose to wreck like I did last week at Daytona. It was pretty cool getting airborne and it only hurt when I hit the ground. I tell you what, it was much better than hitting a concrete wall. I didnt have any injuries from the wreck; no bruising at all. It is a tribute to how safe NASCAR makes these cars."
Back To Battle At Rockingham: Green and his Nestle NesQuik Racing team are looking to recapture the performance they had last October in the Kmart 200 at North Carolina Speedway.
"The car was a little too tight at the end to get around Mark Martin in October," said Green. "But if Mark had bobbled any in the closing laps, I couldve taken him. Thinking back to that race gets me excited about going back. I love The Rock because I consider it real racing."
"Last October at Rockingham we had a strong car all weekend," said crew chief Harold Holly. "We are taking the same chassis there that we had last time, but the car has the new 2000 Chevrolet body. The new body style has a different aerodynamic balance which will change the setups a little. We tested at Atlanta, which will help us determine what changes need to be made. I think the new body style will be even better than last year, especially under racing conditions, so I do think will can contend for the win."
