Driver Tim Fedewa and the No. 36 Stanley Racing team were tabbed the luckiest team in Daytona last weekend by several media members after Fedewa narrowly escaped two accidents that knocked more than 10 cars out of the NAPA Auto Parts 300. This week Fedewa and the Stanley team hope to be recognized as the luckiest team for another reason - they want to be the team in victory lane at the conclusion of the Alltel 200.

"I did exactly what I wanted to do in Daytona," Fedewa said. "I was able to avoid the wrecks, and the Stanley team did a great job getting me back in good race position when we did have problems. Finishing 24th wasn't bad considering all the problems we had to overcome during the race.

"I'm definitely looking forward to getting to Rockingham. I've had some good luck there in the past with a few top-10 finishes, and I'm hoping to improve on that this year. We've been testing the car this week in Atlanta, and the car has run really well. The Stanley team is confident that we will make a good showing in Rockingham."

Fedewa's best finish in Rockingham came in the fall of 1998 when he finished ninth in the field of 43 cars.

"The Rock is one of those places that can be real tricky for the drivers," Fedewa said. "You need an almost flawless day just to stay on the lead lap, let alone finish in the top 10."
