"We're taking the same package back to 'The Rock' that we took there
a
year ago for the spring event. The only difference will be the 2000 body
style, because we're still using a Hopkins' chassis.
"Rockingham isn't a difficult track to get around, but you've got to respect it. The side g-forces in turns three and four are unbelievable. I feel them more at Rockingham than at any other track, so having a car that handles well takes some pressure off the driver. It's definitely not like last weekend at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, where the driver is a passenger. Here, (Rockingham) the driver plays a bigger part of the equation."
