Concord, N.C. --- In typical Ken Schrader fashion, he will have a full racing schedule in 2000. In addition to his duties driving the "M&M's" Pontiac in the NASCAR Winston Cup series, he will also pilot 11 races out of his Concord, N.C., based Ken Schrader Racing shop with backing from Federated Auto Parts.

"For the past few years Schrader Racing has competed full-time in the Truck Series, but this year we decided to scale back on our number of races and I'll be the one behind the wheel," Schrader said. "This will be a great opportunity for Federated Auto Parts and Schrader Racing. With our unique schedule, I'll get to run some great races and Federated will get some good exposure."

Schrader's 11-race schedule in 2000 consists of two Southwest Tour races, five Craftsman Truck Series races, two Winston West races and two ARCA events all across the country.

"We are very excited about our 2000 racing program," said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts Distributors, Inc., headquartered in Staunton, Va. "We are certainly pleased to be associated with Ken Schrader Racing and his fine organization.

"Above all we look forward to having Schrader as a spokesperson for the more than 3600 Federated Auto Parts stores and over 2000 Federated Car Care Centers nationwide. The schedule Schrader will run gives us a tremendous reach into some key markets for Federated Auto Parts and I think our relationship will be a success."

The Schrader Racing schedule begins and ends the 2000 season at Phoenix International Raceway. Schrader's first race of the season will be the Copper World Classic, a Southwest Tour race at PIR on February 6. Schrader Racing's 11-race schedule is as follows:
