ARCA: Ken Schrader to run 2 ARCA races in 2000

Toledo, Ohio- 7-time ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series winner Ken Schrader, with sponsorship from Federated Auto Parts, has announced that he will run 2 ARCA races in 2000.

The versatile Concord, NC driver will drive Chevy Monte Carlos prepared out of his Concord shop at Anderson Speedway in the Anderson ARCA 300 on May 14 and at Salem Speedway on September 10th in the Eddie Gilstrap Motors ARCA 200.

Schrader is the defending race winner of both aforementioned events from '99. Other ARCA victories for the NASCAR veteran include the Hagerstown dirt half-mile in '90, the Topeka, Kansas road-course in '91, the Indianapolis mile dirt fairgrounds in '94, Toledo Speedway in '97 and the Springfield, Illinois mile dirt fairgrounds in '98.

Overall, Schrader, in 19 ARCA starts, has 6 poles, 10 top-5 finishes as well as 12 top-10s and has led 782 laps in 12 events. Additionally, Schrader has entered a Chevy Monte Carlo for the February 13th ARCA Pro2Call 200 at Daytona Int'l Speedway with driver Lyndon Amick with sponsorship from Penda Bedliners. Schrader's car won the '95 Daytona ARCA 200 with driver Andy Hillenburg.
