Little Rock AR--Nessa Motorsports and driver Eddie
Provence have just returned from a weekend
test session in Altus Oklahoma. The mile paved track is similar to many
tracks run on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series circuit. Their Ford F150
performed flawlessly through out the 75-lap test. Track record for the
track
is 17.20 seconds and Eddie was turning in laps in the 19.0-second range.
Not
too bad for someone coming off dirt track and driving his 1999 Ford for
the
first time." We still got some bugs to work out " Eddie said "but I feel like we got a good team. I was surprised, the change from dirt to asphalt didn't seem as hard as I had expected. The truck felt good and it never once felt like it was going to get away from me."
Nessa Motorsports will compete in the ARCA series and up to seven events in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for 2000. The first race will be Bakersfield CA in March. In 2001, Eddie would like to compete full time in CTS with his aim at Rookie of the Year. Nessa Motorsports is still in search of a primary sponsor for both series. These events provide significant exposure and an excellent marketing opportunity for any company looking for maximum exposure. Racing today is the largest spectator sport in the world and the advertising advantages are endless.
