Sprints: Mark Burch Motorsports Teams with RPM Engine Development

Mark Burch Motorsports in Lincoln, NE is pleased to announce their renewed partnership with RPM Engine Development (formerly known as Klein Engines) in Tempe, AZ for the upcoming racing season. Mark relates, "I am excited to be reunited with the staff at RPM Engine Development. Their expertise in 410 & 360 engine development will be a huge asset to our team in the 2000 season."

The #1M team with driver Don Droud Jr., also a Lincoln, NE native, plan their first assault on the 410 division at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA and Huset's Speedway in Brandon, SD. Several WoO and selected special events, including the first ever Amoco Knoxville Nationals for Mark Burch Motorsports, will also be on the schedule as the season develops. In addition, the team will make selected appearances at various shows testing some new 360 engine combinations from RPM.

Don Droud Jr. is a veteran racer who has enjoyed success at nearly every speedway in the upper Midwest. Droud Jr. reunited with his long-time friend, Mark Burch, at the midway point of last season and found immediate fulfillment with two NSCA wins, a MSS victory, and a victory at the State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, IA. Don also won the A-main in the Non-Qualifiers program in the Amoco Knoxville Nationals this past season.

RPM Engine Development is a respected name in the auto racing world, and they bring years of success and expertise. RPM has supplied the power for several World of Outlaw teams and will also support Stevie Smith in the upcoming season. Burch and Droud Jr. are honored to be working with the RPM Engine Development team. They have a long history together, and both enterprises are extremely confident and excited about working together again.

With the help of RPM Engines and Wolfweld Chassis, things have certainly started to fall into place for Mark Burch Motorsports team. Burch states that "We are continuing to search for additional sponsorship and finalize other existing negotiations. Having both RPM and Wolfweld in our corner really gives us a firm foundation which we can build this team around."
