Open To The Public ... Classic Show plus Race Car Annual Technical Inspection
Irwindale, Calif. - - Ever wanted to get a good up close and personal look at some of the greatest vintage racing cars of the past? Ferraris, Cobras, Aston Martins, Lotus', Lolas, Porsches, Mustangs, Corvettes, Mallocks, Maseratis, Jaguars ..
Ever wanted to be able to really see what make them what makes some of these illustrious motoring machines tick? Want to know what they're really like when the hood's open and all the go-fast stuff is exposed for everyone to see?
Ever wanted to meet the men and women who keep the flame of vintage car racing burning bright at race tracks around the country? Perhaps find out how very easy it can be to become a part of vintage racing as a car owner or racing official?
Well ... Here's your opportunity to be on hand at the first-ever Vintage Auto Racing Annual Technical Inspection purposely staged for the public to attend. Saturday, January 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the official pit area of "L.A.'s 1/2-Mile Superspeedway" Irwindale Speedway. The public is invited and there is no charge for parking or event admission.
In addition to the on-going Annual Technical Inspection activities, Vintage Racecar Journal will host a special Concours d'Elegance specifically for vintage race cars in the Chalet Village area of Irwindale Speedway (located directly adjacent to the Pit Area). They are planning having more than thirty exotic vintage formula and sports cars on display in a first-time-ever setting. Once again, the public is invited to attend and enjoy the dazzling exhibit of all-time classic race cars.
