ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--The BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am
Series will return to Sebring
International Raceway in Sebring, Fla., for its 2000 season-opener.
The Sebring race will be conducted Friday, March 17, as part of the American Le Mans Series Superflo 12 Hours at Sebring weekend, and brings the 2000 BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series calender to 12 events, with the possibility of one or two additional venues.
The 2000 BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series Sebring event will be the fifth time North Americas longest-running road racing series has competed at the historic circuit (1966-68, 1999).
"The addition of Sebring, on the popular Superflo 12 Hours weekend, will provide a real boost for the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series and help make its 35th season the best ever," said Scott Rittinger, BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series General Manager. "Were still looking to add one or two more races, and were committed to creating the best possible 2000 calender for the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series."
