Cincinnati, Ohio--In a news conference just prior to the 1999 ARCA awards banquet at the Westin Hotel in Cincinnati on Saturday, the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series officially released its 2000 schedule to include 21 events in ten states.

In its 48th season of competition, ARCA will again help kick off Daytona Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway in February with the running of the 37th annual Daytona ARCA 200 on February 13th to be televised live flag-to-flag on ESPN. Additional superspeedways on the 2000 tour include two events at the new Kentucky Speedway in conjunction with the Indy Racing League along with perennial stops at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, Michigan Speedway, Pocono International Raceway, Talladega Superspeedway and the season finale at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on November 18th. The aforementioned races at Lowes, Michigan, Pocono, Talladega and Atlanta will accompany NASCAR Winston Cup Series events.

Dubbed by many as the most versatile stock car sanctioning body on earth, the stars and cars of ARCA will also return to their short-track roots on the quarter mile Flat Rock Speedway bullring where it all began in 1953 as well as the quarter mile Anderson Speedway for the second consecutive season. Additional short-track stops include two events at the legendary Salem Speedway in conjunction with the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, Toledo Speedway, Shady Bowl Speedway, Kil-Kare Speedway, Berlin Raceway as well as Winchester Speedway. In addition to the paved short-tracks, the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series will again live up to its versatile nature with two dirt track events on the 2000 schedule, one on the mile dirt Illinois State Fairgrounds oval in Springfield and the other on the DuQuoin dirt mile.

All 21 events in 2000 will be televised via ESPN, ESPN2, TNN, TBS, Fox Sports Net and/or SPEEDVISION as well as other possible entities.
