NASCAR: Matt Kenseth and Jason Schuler Set Schedules for Visine Chevrolet

DENVER, N.C. --Matt Kenseth will compete in 20 NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division events in 2000 in the Visine Chevrolet, including the first seven races of the season, and rookie driver Jason Schuler will make his NASCAR Busch Series debut on April 8 at Nashville Speedway.

The schedule of the Reiser Enterprises tandem was based on companion events, when the NASCAR Winston Cup Series and the NASCAR Busch Series compete at the same venue on the same weekend. Kenseth, who will also compete full time in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series next season, will compete in the Visine Chevrolet on the companion weekends, except for the Aug. 25 NASCAR Busch Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Dates to highlight for Kenseth on the schedule are March 18 at Darlington Raceway and April 29 at California Speedway, as he returns to those events as the defending champion.

In addition to his debut on April 8 in Nashville, a date to highlight on Schulers schedule will be July 2, when he competes at The Milwaukee Mile, approximately 60 miles from his hometown of Cambridge, Wis.

Schuler will also compete at two tracks he has competed on before. He finished eighth in NASCAR RE/MAX Challenge Series events at Pikes Peak International Raceway and Gateway International Raceway in 1999 and will return to those venues in 2000 in the Visine Chevrolet.

Kenseth, the third-place finisher in the 1999 NASCAR Busch Series Championship, will drive the Visine Chevrolet at the following tracks: Daytona International Speedway, Feb. 19; North Carolina Speedway, Feb. 26 and Oct. 21; Las Vegas Motor Speedway, March 4; Atlanta Motor Speedway, March 11; Darlington Raceway, March 18 and Sept. 2; Bristol Motor Speedway, March 25; Texas Motor Speedway, April 1; Talladega Superspeedway, April 15; California Speedway, April 29; Richmond International Raceway, May 5 and Sept. 8; Lowes Motor Speedway, May 27 and Oct. 7; Dover Downs International Speedway, June 3; Michigan Speedway, Aug. 19; Dover Downs International Speedway, Sept. 23; Phoenix International Raceway, Nov. 4; and Homestead-Miami Speedway, Nov. 11.

Schuler, who finished third in the 1999 NASCAR RE/MAX Challenge Series, will occupy the seat of the Visine Chevrolet at these events: Nashville Speedway USA, April 8; New Hampshire International Speedway, May 13; South Boston Speedway, June 10; Myrtle Beach Speedway, June 17; Watkins Glen International, June 25; The Milwaukee Mile, July 2; Nazareth Speedway, July 16; Pikes Peak International Raceway, July 22; Gateway International Raceway, July 29; Indianapolis Raceway Park, Aug. 4; Bristol Motor Speedway, Aug. 25; and Memphis Motorsports Park, Oct. 29.
