RUSTY WALLACE --2-- Miller Lite Taurus (Finished 12th) --
"First of all I'd like to congratulate Dale Jarrett because he did a hell
of a job. They did everything they needed to do, they drove it wide-open
until the end and won it. Congratulations to those two Pontiac drivers
that checked out and dominated and blew everybody in the whole entire
field off by half a lap...a good job on their part. As far as we went, we
kept looking at the times all day long and the 88 car, the 6 car and my
car I was within a half-tenth of them all day long, but I was so loose at
the beginning of the race that I lost so much track position and we kept
running green that it got me way behind and I got lapped. But once we got
the caution, I was pretty happy. I was pretty stable and I held my own. I
thought I was gonna finish ninth and Bodine got me there, there were two
cars that we didn't count on made it on fuel and stayed out, so that put
us to 12th. That's OK, I just want to maintain my eighth position right
now. I've got one more shot to win a race and we'll see if we can do it."
