* Even though "M&M's" Racing Team driver Jerry Nadeau will be on unfamiliar territory when he takes the track for the first time at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Thursday, his experience on 1.5-mile speedways will help his performance. Nadeau has had solid qualifying efforts on tracks 1.5-miles in length. In three of the five races on tracks similar in length to Miami-Homestead Speedway, Nadeau has qualified 12th or better including starts at Las Vegas (8th), Atlanta (12th) and Charlotte (10th).

* While Nadeau has had no trouble qualifying on 1.5-mile tracks, the "M&M's" Racing Team has no problem finishing on the circuits speedways. With retired driver Ernie Irvan behind the wheel early in the year, the "M&M's" Racing Team had top-10 finishes at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (6th) and Atlanta Motor Speedway (7th).

* The "M&M's" Racing Team did not test at Homestead-Miami Speedway during the season, but when Nadeau finally leaves Miami he will have a lot of laps under his belt. Nadeau will take part in a two-day test with the 2000 Monte Carlo on Monday and Tuesday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Jerry Nadeau's thoughts on racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway... "I've never raced at Homestead, but neither have a lot of these guys. Usually when I go to the track I have three or four starts in my history while some of these guys have 10 or 12. But this weekend we'll all be on pretty even ground and will all have a lot to learn. It's my understanding that since the track made some changes a few years ago that the transitions between the straight-a-ways and the corners is a lot easier to maneuver. I've looked forward to running here for quite some time so I can't wait to make some laps."
