SCHRADER'S THOUGHTS HEADING INTO THE PENNZOIL 400:
* "Homestead is a lot like Milwaukee, just bigger," said Ken Schrader, driver of the No. 33 Skoal Racing Monte Carlo. "Homestead used to be a track a lot like Indy - a four corner, square track. They had a lot of problems on that track with the speeds the cars were running and the tight turns. I had a real big crash in a Busch car the first year they raced at Homestead.
"They have reconfigured the track so that it's a true oval, just like Loudon or Milwaukee. They helped the track tremendously by making it a true oval."
CREW CHIEF SHOP TALK:
* "We're going to run the same car we raced at Charlotte, Indianapolis, Pocono and Michigan," said Sam Johns, crew chief of the Skoal Racing Monte Carlo. "It is our first time as a team at Homestead, but at least Kenny has some experience there. There are a lot of drivers that have never even seen that track, so I feel like we have a slight advantage."
