SCCA: Trans-Am Series Entrants' Reception at PRI

Current or prospective Trans-Am
Series teams that will be attending the PRI show are invited to attend an
Entrants' Reception to be held on Friday, November 19th. The meeting will
be
from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Room 211 of the Indianapolis Convention
Center. A
brief presentation will cover major rules changes for 2000, the new
Owners'
Championship, and the 2000 schedule. After the presentation, Scott
Rittinger and
Kevin Bayless will be available for questions and discussion. If you plan
to
attend the PRI Show (Nov. 18-20), please stop by and see us on Friday
afternoon.As an additional incentive, we will have chairs and refreshments available so you can take a break from walking around the show. If you will be attending the show, but cannot make it to this meeting, please stop by and see us at the SCCA Pro Racing booth (Booth No. 3019).
SCCA PRO RACING RULES ON-LINE: SCCA Pro Racings 2000 Pro Racing Regulations will be available at the PRI show, and for the first time on-line at www.SCCAPro.com (and also through links from www.Trans-AmSeries.com and www.SCCAPro.com/WC). The on-line PRR will make its debut on November 16.
LEWIS ON TAP FOR NOVEMBER SAE MEETING IN SAN DIEGO: Michael Lewis, Owner and President of Automation Technologies in San Diego, Calif., and driver of the No. 12 AmeriSuites Ford Mustang Cobra in the Trans-Am Series, will host a presentation, technical review and Q&A on the Trans-Am Series at the November SAE meeting in San Diego. AutoCon Crew Chief David Steele will assist Lewis in the meeting that will cover topics including what it takes to engineer a Trans-Am Series car and how the AutoCon team plans to improve their performance in 2000. Both of the AutoCon Motorsports cars will be on display at the meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Autocon Engineering, 5452 A Oberlin Drive San Diego, CA 92121. Dinner is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., tours are from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 7:15 p.m. Arrangements for seating and food must be made in advance, so please reserve by Monday, Nov. 8: call the SAE 24-hour reservation line at (619) 594-4827.
