GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Oakwood Homes will conclude their
Second Annual Racin'
Sellabration at Lowe's Motor Speedway at Charlotte on Monday, November 15.
As part of the Racin' Sellabration program, eight customers who entered at
Oakwood Homes sales centers throughout the year were selected to
participate
in the Richard Petty Driving Experience. One of those customers will draw
the winning key, which opens the front door to a 1,296-square-foot,
three-bedroom, two-bathroom Sunrise Dream Home.
Last year's home winner, Felicia Weatherford of Cleveland, Tennessee, is living comfortably in her new Oakwood Home. Weatherford was renting an apartment when she was selected to participate in the driving experience and the drawing for the home. Weatherford is a homemaker, a wife and the mother of a five-year-old daughter.
The eight finalists in the Oakwood Homes Racin' Sellabration, which started in March and ended on October 14 are: Joe Davis of Oak Ridge, La.; Jay Crossan of Lebanon, Ore.; Daniel Smith of Westfork, Ariz.; Samuel Lockwood of San Antonio, Texas; Ken Kitlasz of South Plainfield, N.J.; Jeffery Thompson of Beckley, W. Va.; James Green of Marietta, Ga. and Brian Franklin of Sterling, Okla.
NASCAR veteran driver Ken Schrader will be on hand at Lowe's Motor Speedway on November 15 for the drawing of the home. Schrader will be available for autographs and photos from 3-5 p.m. that day. Syndicated radio personalities John Boy and Billy will be there as well doing a live radio broadcast from 4-5 p.m.
Randy Pemberton with Inside NASCAR and Mark Ashenfelter with Winston Cup Scene each won a separate contest held exclusively for members of the motorsports media. Ashenfelter donated his Richard Petty Driving Experience prize to his father, Leon.
The public and media are invited to attend all activities on November 15 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Anyone planning on attending may enter through the turn three tunnel. There will be free pizza and Oakwood Homes racing apparel give-a-ways from 4-5 p.m. The drawing for the home will take place at approximately 4:30 p.m.
