* Sponsor: Chelsea, one of Dana Corporation's brands will be on the side
of
Bobby Hamilton's #4 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series entry in the October
30th
NAPA 200 at California Speedway. Chelsea with its Power Take Off's (PTO's)
will move to the primary sponsor position on Hamilton's Dana Dodge for
this
race only.
This marks the second time that Chelsea has gotten involved at this level in motorsports marketing with Bobby Hamilton Racing. The first event that the Chelsea name adorned a Hamilton truck was the Memphis 200 where the truck ran up front until a mechanical failure occurred with three laps to go, and Hamilton finished 21st.
* Career Starts: The Napa 200 will be Bobby Hamilton's fifth start of the year and 12th of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career. Hamilton's last start in a truck was at Richmond, Virginia where he started on the pole but finished 31st after the rearend gear broke.
* Points: Bobby Hamilton currently sits 45th in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Driver Points. The #4 truck sits in 36th position in owner points. If the team can finish in the top 35 in owner points it will be eligible for provisional starts at the first race of the 2000 season. The #4 team currently sits 36 points from their goal.
* Bobby Hamilton is trying to become only the fourth driver in history to win a race in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, if he can take home the victory in Richmond. The other drivers that have performed this feat are Mark Martin, Ken Schrader, and Terry Labonte.
