Spartanburg, SC - Buckshot Jones and the No.00
Cheez-It team hope to find a treat at the finish line when they visit
Memphis Motorsports Park on Halloween. This inaugural event proves to be a
ghastly good time as the NASCAR Busch Series competitors take to the track
for the first time in Memphis, Tenn.
Jones and crew will be up to their usual tricks this Halloween. With victory hopes in mind, the No.00 team plan to use what they learned from their Memphis test session on October 1 to turn their hopes into reality. Jones feels that the information gained from the test session will head them in the right direction. "The Memphis track is different from the others we compete on," Jones said. "We tried many changes during the test and learned a lot about how
to set the car up for this particular track. We expect to be strong on long runs and I look forward to working on ways to help our qualifying set up."
With or without a race, Halloween has always been a fun time for Jones. Growing up, he enjoyed spending the holiday with family and neighborhood friends.
"When I was growing up, my family and I lived in a big subdivision in the Atlanta area," said Jones. "Our house was on a steep hill, so on Halloween we would put a ghost on a cable and slide it down our driveway. When young kids came up to the house it would scare them to death! I also had a lot of fun with friends going to haunted houses on Halloween."
Although his childhood tricks may not work with other drivers, Jones is sure to have a treat in mind as he prepares for Memphis Motorsports Park on Halloween.
