"M&M's" Racing Team North Carolina Speedway Highlights...

* Jerry Nadeau joined forces with the "M&M's" Racing Team in September of this year at Bristol Motor Speedway. In eight starts together, the "M&M's" Racing team has made five appearances at tracks one mile or less in length. The team's statistics look good heading into this weekend's Pop Secret 400 at the 1.017-mile North Carolina Speedway.

* The "M&M's" Racing Team is looking for a little magic on the one-mile oval at North Carolina Speedway. The "M&M's" Racing Team captured the outside pole position during its last outing at a one-mile track when the No. 36 "M&M's" Pontiac posted the second fastest time at Dover Downs International on September 24.

* As the saying goes... 'To finish first, first you first must finish.' The "M&M's" Racing Team has had no trouble finishing races on the series' shortest tracks. At their last five short track outings at Bristol, Richmond, Loudon, Dover and Martinsville, the "M&M's" Racing Team and driver Jerry Nadeau have finished all but 12 of the 2100 laps possible. The "M&M's" Racing Team has finished 99.1 percent of the possible laps at those five races.

* "M&M's" Racing Team driver Jerry Nadeau participated in a two-day test at Talladega Superspeedway on Monday and Tuesday. Nadeau tested the 2000 Monte Carlo he will pilot with Hendrick Motorsports next year.

* Retired "M&M's" Racing Team driver Ernie Irvan will be in Chicago on Friday, October 22, to take part in the awards presentations for the 1999 ARETE (Ah-ree-tee) Awards for Courage in Sports. Irvan, who was presented the ARETE Award in the professional division in 1995, and other ARETE alumnus will be on hand to present this year's awards as part of its 10th anniversary telecast. Irvan The telecast will air on ESPN in November.
