Langley, VA - Jimmy Britts dominated the final eight days of the 1999 NASCAR Goody's Dash season by winning the race at Jacksonville, NC on October 9th and finishing 9th at Langley, VA on October 16th. His 103 of 160 possible NAPA Filters Rookie of the Year points led the strongest Goody's Dash rookie class in years. Jimmy also moved up a spot to finish the year 4th in the championship points battle.

Britts qualified for all 16 races this season with 2 wins, 8 top ten and 7 top five finishes. Add to that the NAPA Filters Rookie of the Race Award at Daytona, Charlotte, Summerville, Orange County, Myrtle Beach and Jacksonville; plus the Gatorade Front Runner Award at Summerville, Lanier

and Jacksonville, and you get another successful season with one of the top racers in the country behind the wheel, Jimmy Britts! Look for Jimmy to return to the series in 2000 for a run at the championship.

The title "Rookie of the Year" is not new to Britts, with previous titles in '95 (NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro), '89 (Volusia NASCAR Winston Racing Series), '88 (Jax Raceway NASCAR Winston Racing Series Dirt Late Model) and '87 (Lake City Outlaw Dirt Series).

Behind every great driver is an equally great team and this year was no exception. Cornerstone Racing, Inc., put a professional, top quality organization together with the end result meeting the 3 team goals for '99; win the rookie title, win a race and finish in the top 5 in points.
