FIRST BUSCH SERIES OUTING

Schrader's very first NASCAR Busch Series race was run at North Carolina Speedway in 1987. With his own equipment, Schrader started the AC-Delco 200 from the 21st starting position and went on to finish 5th, his best Busch Series finish to date at the 1.017-mile track.

SCHRADER'S SCRAPBOOK

This will be Schrader's 13th start at Rockingham in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division. In 12 previous starts, he has accumulated one top-five and four top- 10 finishes.

SCHRADER'S SCHEDULE

Ken Schrader will make an appearance to sign autographs on Thursday, October 21 at the Oakwood Homes Sales Center located on 16001 Elmore Road in Laurinburg, N.C. from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

THOUGHTS ON "THE ROCK"

"Rockingham is always a good place for the fans to watch a race," said Schrader, driver of the No. 15 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet. "It is one of those tracks that is aggressive. There are a lot of bumps and the competition is tough. It definitely isn't just another walk in the park. I have had some success there in the Winston Cup Series, but I definitely would like to make a better showing in the Busch Series and bring a win home for Oakwood Homes."

NO. 15 OAKWOOD HOMES CHEVY

The car the Oakwood Homes team will utilize at North Carolina Speedway is the same car they ran at Texas and Bristol earlier this year. The car had a 7th place finish at Texas and a 14th place finish at Bristol. "The car we are taking is a real good car," said crew chief Chris Carrier. "It hasn't run many races this year because we have taken the low snout cars to the flat tracks and a different type of car to tracks like Charlotte. Hopefully, this car will give us a good run."
