INDIANAPOLIS- Friday November 17, has been selected as the date for the inaugural Racers' Rally to be held at The Racing Club in downtown Indianapolis.

Presented by The Racing News and Autosport '99 radio show, the Racers' Rally will be an evening filled with fun and excitement for racing fans and insiders alike.

The Racing Club is located at 236 S. Meridian St. in downtown Indianapolis - within walking distance of the Performance Racing Industry trade show being held in the nearby Indianapolis Convention Center and RCA Dome.

"Indiana is the center stage for everything from grass roots-level racing to motorsports' most prestigious events, giving us a chance to present it to the racing fan at its best through the Racers' Rally," said Rodney A. Margison, Editor of The Racing News. "With the annual PRI show just down the street, this will be a wonderful opportunity for those attending it to spend the evening relaxing and enjoying the fellowship of others from the racing community, and to help a lot of worthy charitable organizations as well."

Several drivers from many realms of racing will be on hand for autographs during the event, which will feature a live broadcast of the popular radio show Autosport '99 starring Gary Lee and Don Kay on WKLU - Kool 101.9 - in Indianapolis. Those in attendance will also be treated to a never-ending display of "Racin' with D.O." racing videos on the multitude of televisions located throughout the restaurant.

A charity auction and raffles to benefit a number of motorsports-related charitable organizations will be conducted during the evening festivities. Charities already scheduled to be included are The Rich Vogler Scholarship Fund, American Racing Ministries and Racing Angels.

Several racing machines will be displayed outside The Racing Club as well as numerous vendors and industry representatives.

Items for the auction are still being accepted, as well as vendors and drivers to participate in the festivities.
