Fort Worth, Texas - Eddie Cheever, Jr. qualified his #51 The Children's Beverage Group Dallara/Goodyear/Infiniti 20th in today's Pep Boys Indy Racing League qualifier. Cheever lapped the 1.5-mile superspeedway in 24.625 seconds at an average speed of 212.711 mph. Cheever's time was .387 of a second off the pole sitter, Greg Ray. He will start Sunday's 208-lap/312-mile race from the 10th row.

"This is the quickest time we've run by ourselves. I'm glad that we've gotten through the last two days without the engine problems we experienced from Vegas. The car is working very well in traffic and that is going to be extremely important in tomorrow's race. It's going to be like a race in Talladega tomorrow....you lift and I guarantee you, you will be in BIG trouble," said Cheever.
